HutPass provides Alta Via 1 planning guidance and signed-in availability watches. This notice explains the limited personal and technical information processed when you use the site.
Signed-in itinerary watches
When you create a watch from a saved itinerary, HutPass processes the itinerary night and the verified account needed to associate that watch with you. This can include the selected hut, arrival date, party size, and your account email. We use these details only to operate the watch and its account view; HutPass does not use them to book a stay or take payment.
HutPass retains saved itineraries and their watches while they are active or for the time reasonably needed to operate, secure, and improve the service. You can remove a watch from your account. For another privacy request, use the contact method below without posting personal information publicly.
Feedback
When you send feedback, HutPass processes your message, the page you were viewing, and your selected language. If you are signed in, we also include your account name, verified email address, and account identifier with the feedback email so the HutPass team can understand the context and follow up. We use this information only to review, improve, and respond to feedback.
Analytics
HutPass uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and improve the site. Analytics data can include the page and route visited, time of the visit, referrer, selected query parameters, approximate location, browser, operating system, and device type. HutPass does not use this information to identify or profile an individual visitor.
Vercel states that its Web Analytics data points are anonymous and are not associated with an individual or IP address. It identifies a visit using a hash derived from the incoming request and discards the visitor session after 24 hours. Aggregate reporting is retained according to the Vercel service plan. Read Vercel’s Web Analytics privacy information.
Cookies and browser storage
HutPass uses strictly necessary cookies to protect Google Sign-In and keep you signed in. The session cookie contains an opaque value, is unavailable to browser scripts, and is checked by HutPass on the server; signing out revokes it. HutPass does not use advertising cookies, and Vercel Web Analytics remains cookieless.
Hosting and security
The site is hosted by Vercel. Like other hosting providers, Vercel processes network and request information needed to deliver and secure the service. HutPass does not use hosting logs for advertising or cross-site tracking. See Vercel’s privacy notice for information about its processing practices.
Third-party booking links
HutPass does not take bookings or payments. Links to huts and booking providers leave HutPass, and the destination service’s privacy and cookie practices apply from that point. HutPass does not control those independent services.
Purpose and your choices
HutPass processes signed-in itinerary and watch details to provide the features you request and relies on its legitimate interests to operate, secure, and improve the service. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of relevant personal data. Anonymous aggregate analytics may not be linkable to a particular visitor.
Contact and changes
For a privacy question, contact the HutPass maintainer through the project repository. Do not include your email address or other personal information in a public issue; first ask for a private contact route. This notice will be updated when HutPass materially changes how it processes visitor information.
